Deck with Trex deck

This customer’s deck was over 30 years old and located along a creek bank. Over time, moisture exposure caused significant wood rot, compromising the structural integrity of the deck.

After a thorough inspection, we determined that while the wood framing had failed, the existing concrete piers were still in excellent condition. Instead of recommending a full demolition and rebuild from the ground up, we engineered a smarter solution, reuse the structurally sound concrete piers as the foundation for a brand-new deck.

By incorporating the existing piers into our new design, we were able to save the homeowner over $30,000 in unnecessary foundation replacement costs.

To help the customer confidently move forward, we created detailed 3D renderings so they could fully visualize the finished product. The updated design not only enhances functionality and aesthetics but significantly increases the property’s value, exceeding the investment cost.

With modern framing techniques and the latest waterproofing best practices, this new deck is built for long-term durability and performance. It’s designed to outlast our generation.
